Holiday Return Policy
To best accomodate customers shopping for the holidays, returns or exhanges of merchandise purchased after October 1st, 2008 will be accepted until January 12, 2009 or within 30 days of purchase, whichever is longer.

Holiday Shipping Cut-offs
Orders using Standard Shipping options should be placed by noon on December 18 for Delivery on or before December 24. Two Day shipping orders should be placed by noon December 21 for delivery on or before December 24. Overnight shipping orders should be placed by noon December 22 for delivery on or before December 24.

How do I place an order?

Ordering online is easy! When you find an item you would like to purchase, select a color and size and click the green "add to bag" button. A small window will appear at the top-right corner of the page indicating what you've just "added to your bag". At this point you may continue to shop for more items, adding to your bag the ones you'd like to purchase.

When you've finished shopping, click the green "checkout" button at the top-right corner of the page. You will find a quick summary of your order on the right side of the following page. If you'd like to modify your order, you may do so by clicking the grey "edit your bag" button at the bottom of the grey box. If all looks well, click "proceed to checkout". From there, you will be guided through the next four steps of the order-placement process.


How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of your order after it has been placed, simply:
1. Click "your account" at the top of any page
2. Unless you are already signed in, sign in to your account using the email address and password you used when you made your purchase
3. On the left side of the page, click "view open or recently shipped orders"
4. The status of your order should appear on the page, along with other information such as estimated delivery dates
5. If your order is listed as shipped, you can track your shipment under "track packages" on the left side of the page


How do I track my package?

You can easily track your package by signing into your account using the email address and password you used when you made your purchase, and clicking "track packages" on the left side of the page.


Can I make changes to my order after I place it?

Certainly! As long as your order has not yet entered the shipping process, you will be able to make changes to it. Simply sign into your account using the email address and password you used when you placed your order, and click "view open or recently shipped orders." Find the order you wish to edit, and click the green "view or edit order" button. The resulting page will allow you to change your shipping address, shipping method, payment method, billing address and gift options using the grey "change" buttons. You may also change item quantities or delete items from your order, as well as cancel your order.


Will I receive a receipt with my order?

At the end of your transaction you will come to an order confirmation page detailing the items within your order, the cost of each item and the total amount to be charged. Please print this page for your records; it is your receipt. You will also receive a confirmation via email, and an invoice/packing slip within your actual shipment, and these may also be used as receipts. If you are interested in keeping a receipt for tax purposes, we recommend printing and keeping the order confirmation page.


Will Lacoste.com ship to an international address?

At this time, Lacoste.com ships only to addresses within the USA. We apologize for inconvenience this may cause!


What credit cards do you accept for online purchase?

We accept Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Diner's Club International, JCB, and Discover. Please note, if you use an American Express card, the charge may appear as "Amazon.com Payments" on your credit card statement.


How do I use a promotion code?

Promotion codes can be entered at Step 3 of the checkout process.


How do I determine the shipping charges on my order?

Shipping charges are based upon the value of your purchase and the type of shipping method you choose. Please see our shipping information section for details.


Will sales tax be charged on my order? If so, how much?

Lacoste charges sales tax in compliance with the tax laws in every state. We will let you know your estimated tax charges before you place an order.


How do I know if ordering online is secure?

We share your concerns about credit card security, and have taken steps to ensure that transactions on our website are safe. Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. Lacoste uses secure server software over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) line to protect credit card information. It encrypts all personal and credit card information so that this information cannot be read as it travels to an ordering system, and once it is received, it is stored in a location not accessible via the Internet. Look for the small padlock icon in the lower right side of your browser to know you are on a secure page. We will make sure all of your personal information is secure at all times.

Why should I create a Lacoste account?

For security purposes, we encourage all of our customers to create a Lacoste account. It is necessary to create an account in order to make a purchase at Lacoste.com. Having an account with a password that only you know protects all of the personal information you enter when placing an order and ensures that no one else has access to these details. Your email address is needed in order for us to send you information relating to your order, such as an order confirmation or any news regarding your order status that may need your response.

There are also other benefits to having a password-protected account with Lacoste.com. Your account allows you to securely save billing and shipping information, check the status of an current order, review past orders, and track a package up to the minute it arrives. Through your account you can also sign up to receive emails with exclusive offers for Lacoste.com customers.


How do I create a Lacoste account?

Creating an account with Lacoste.com is easy! Simply:
1. Click "create account" at the top of any page.
2. Fill out the form with your information. (It may be a good idea to save somewhere the password you choose.)
3. Click "create new account" and fix any errors that may be flagged. If there are none, voila! Your account has been created and a confirmation email will arrive shortly.


How do I update my email preferences?

You may update your email preferences by signing into your account and clicking "sign up for email communication". This will allow you to specify to which email address you'd like Lacoste to send exclusive information about special promotions, newest styles and more. You may also unsubscribe from email communication here.

If you wish to change the email address associated with your account, click "change your name, email address, & password".

Can I gift wrap my order?

You can send items as gifts to any address, and we'll wrap them for free! Just follow these instructions:
1. After adding the items to your shopping bag, click the green "checkout" button near the top-right corner of the page to review your order.
2. At the top of the grey order summary box on the right, select "Is this order a gift?" and proceed to checkout.
3. Specify the name and shipping address of the recipient for each item and click the green "continue" button.
4. Select "Yes, I would like these items gift packaged" next to each shipment grouping. You may also add a free gift message here (optional).

You might want to let your gift recipient know that a package is on the way.

For your information, each gift shipment is sent with a packing slip that lists only the purchaser's name and billing address, the items included in the shipment and the gift message (if the items are not gift-wrapped; otherwise the gift message is printed on a card attached to the gift wrap)

All orders sent as gifts can be returned by mail or returned/exchanged in-store within 30 days of delivery. Please note that the purchaser will be credited for gift returns done by mail. If a gift recipient does not wish to exchange their gift in-store, they will be issued a Lacoste gift certificate. Merchandise must be returned unworn, with tickets attached, and if possible, accompanied by the original packing slip.

A gift recipient may return their gift in its original packaging, and will find all of the information they need to do the return on the packing slip they received with their gift, as well as a prepaid return label they can use to ship the return.

Can I exchange or return something I order online at a Lacoste boutique?

Please feel free to exchange or return items you've ordered online (excluding shoes) at a Lacoste boutique (non-outlet) near you. If you are not located near a Lacoste boutique, the exchange/return process is still very easy. Please read our Return/Exchange Procedure for specific instructions. Additionally, you'll find all of the information you need to do an exchange or return on the invoice you received with your purchase, as well as a prepaid return label.
Please note: All purchases of shoes must be returned by mail. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of shoes at any of our retail locations.

Are there ever sales on the items that are online?

Definitely! You may find the items we currently have on sale by clicking on the sale category located in the navigation at the top of every page. Once you click on this link, all the sale items will display with the sale prices highlighted in red. Please note we have limited quantities of sale items and they do sell out quickly.
You can also sign up for e-mails from Lacoste and we will notify you of special offers, new products, and store events. Just add your e-mail address at the bottom of our website where it says "Sign up to receive Lacoste news & promotions."


Do you sell other Lacoste items online, such as fragrances or sunglasses?

Unfortunately, Lacoste sunglasses are not expected to become available. We hope to soon have fragrance available for purchase online, but the date is still to-be-determined. Be sure to check back!


Are all items on the Lacoste website available in stores and vice versa?

Because of fluctuating retail warehouse constraints, not all items found online are available in all styles, sizes and colors in our retail stores. The general assortment may vary slightly, but usually, you will be able to find most of the items you were looking for online.
